Braitman Studio: Updates & Fall Schedule

IMG_0503First, A Letter From Andy:

Dear Braitman Studio Artists,

I want to thank you for your continued participation here at Braitman Studio. I truly appreciate your patronage.  This Fall, I am not raising tuition, but there will be some class changes and materials changes.

I will stop providing paint, brushes, and palette knives to all intermediate and advanced classes.  I will have a bagged set of student-grade oils and brushes available for any who wish to purchase them and I will provide a personalized hook so your supply bag can be kept secure for you between classes.  The intermediate and advanced students at this studio are incredibly talented and I really would like to see you all start to branch out to paints that are above student grade.  I want to help you as you are making palette decisions regarding paint purchases, so ask me any questions you may have as you begin to upgrade!

As a final note, I will having arthroscopic back surgery and will not be in the studio for the first 2 weeks of classes.  I look forward to working with you soon.  Jade, Kelley, Allison, Mary, and of course, Nicholas, will continue to provide the highest in painting instruction and advice.

Thank You, Andy Braitman

Second, A Letter From All of Us:

Hello Artists!!

Thank you so much for being a part of Braitman Studio.  We’re getting ready for a new session and we want to make the Fall as EASY as possible for you.  Please read everything carefully because there have been some changes.

First:  We wanted to remind you that our studio is closed in August, so communicating with us by phone at that time may be difficult - emailing jade@braitmanstudio.com is going to be your best way to talk to us.

Second:  You will find our schedule below, but registration for September classes will open on August 15.  Check the blog and/or Facebook on August 15 to find instructions on how to register for class. Classes will resume on Tuesday, September 2.

Third:  Starting in September, paint, brushes, and palette knives will no longer be provided by Braitman Studio to our intermediate and advanced classes.  That means the only classes that will continue to have access to these materials will be Fundamentals I, Fundamentals II, and our Teen Class.  All Braitman classes will STILL be provided with easels, paper towels, liquin, turp, oil (for brush cleaning), aprons, and taborets.  We will continue to offer items for purchase and we will now be carrying a Braitman packet for purchase that contains a complete kit of student-grade oil paints and brushes in a storage bag.  We are going to provide a storage area for your Braitman bags so you may leave your supplies in the studio if you choose to.

Fourth:  We have a whole bunch of great stuff planned for our Fall Session and we really want you to be part of it.  We have added two new classes that start in September (see the classes in blue on the schedule below) and we will be adding two new classes in October, we are going to do some museum and gallery excursions with Andy, and, of course, we are going to be slinging some major paint around the studio.  Please subscribe to the Braitman Studio Blog  at www.braitmanstudio.com/blog for all of the inside details about our classes, our Monthly Video Lessons, and our Summer Art Exercises.  Kelley is doing a wonderful job creating and maintaining this enriched virtual community for all of our artists and it really is the best way to know what’s happening in the studio.

Finally!!  Once again, we thank you so much for letting us be part of your painting experience.  Each one of you is an important part of Braitman Studio and we really appreciate the time you spend with us.  If you have any questions, please email Jade at jade@braitmanstudio.com and she will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank You, Braitman Studio www.braitmanstudio.com
