Opening Reception: Thursday, April 28th, 6- 8 pm *NEW TIME*

Alamance Arts invites you to immerse yoruself in the bright, beautiful colors of spring. Allison Chambers' exhibit, A Peaceful Journey, will be on display and for sale at the Alamance Arts' Captain White House between April 21st and June 4, 2016.

Chambers, an artist from Charlotte, paints beautiful landscapes with oil paint. She began her successful painting career with faux-finishes and murals. In 2008, she studied under Andy Braitman and Susan Matthews where she discovered her true passion for oil painting.

Amongst her many inspirations for her painting series are areas like Vancouver, San Francisco, and Napa. Chamber says her work is of an "impasto" style- using thick paint and a palette knife. Her goal is, through this technique, to achieve a derivative abstract interpretation of life.

A reception to celebrate her works will be held on April 28th (a week after the exhibit's opening day) at 6:30 pm. The reception will be free and everyone is welcome to attend.
